A Series A BNPL team asked PortalForest to review a ledger that posted promotional credits as ordinary purchases. Operations papered over imbalances each evening. Over a three-week architecture review we redrew posting rules, introduced an immutable event store boundary, and listed the reconciliations finance needed before the next assurance meeting.
Outcome: the team deferred two feature releases, shipped the ledger corrections first, and later reused the brief as evidence in partner due diligence.
