Release gates that satisfy change boards

Change boards in regulated firms do not need theatre. They need a short list of proofs that the release will not quietly break custody or evidence trails.

Useful gates

• Diff of posting rules reviewed by someone who owns the ledger
• Confirmation that new fields appear in the reconciliation extract
• Rollback notes that include how in-flight settlements behave
• KYC pathway tested with a known failure case, not only the happy path

Useless gates

Generic “security sign-off” without naming which control changed. If the feature does not touch money, identity, or credentials, say so and keep the gate light.
